What are Vitamins In Fruit?
Vitamins in fruit are complex chemical substances which are mainly sourced from food with the exception of K and D vitamins. Our bodies are unable to produce vitamins itself so it relies on obtaining them from food. One exception is Vitamin D, also known as the sunshine vitamin as the body obtains it from sunlight. There are foods that contain Vitamin D, mainly being fish, meat and dairy products. Vitamins can be separated into two groups - either fat-soluble or water-soluble which is usually an indication of the types of food where these vitamins are found - either watery or fatty foods. There are thirteen vitamins for humans and nine of them are water-soluble - eight B vitamins and vitamin C. Four vitamins are fat-soluble and they are vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin E and vitamin K.
